Lutheran Care Center offers a variety of therapy services. The licensed therapy team is dedicated to providing a comprehensive and extensive rehabilitation program to assist our patients to realize and reach their highest level of functioning. The department offers both inpatient and outpatient therapy consisting of physical, occupational, speech and respiratory.
Outpatient Therapy
Lutheran Care Center offers extensive rehabilitative services on an outpatient basis to citizens of the community who need help getting back on their feet. Outpatient therapy provides services for people who have temporary limitations due to:
- Stroke
- Falls
- Weakness
- Orthopedic Injury
- Joint Replacement
- Severe Arthritis
- Major Medical or Surgical Disorder
Physical Therapy
- Improves Functional Mobility including Bed Mobility,
- Transfer Techniques and Ambulation
- Increases Strength, Range of Motion and
- Overall Endurance
- Balance and Posture Training
- Wheelchair Positioning and Mobility
- Pain Management
- Rehabilitation for Neurological Disorders
- Orthopedic Rehabilitation following Surgery or Fracture
- Prosthetic Training
- Modalities: Hot/Cold Packs, Ultrasound, Electrical Stimulation,
- Lower Extremity Whirlpool
Occupational Therapy
- Improves Function of Activities of Daily Living such as
- Dressing, Eating, Bathing and Personal Hygiene
- Improve Upper Extremity Strength, Range of Motion and Endurance
- Adaptive Equipment Techniques
- Safety Awareness
Speech Therapy
- Enhancement of Verbal/Nonverbal Communication
- Dysphagia (Swallowing) Rehabilitation
- Cognitive Rehabilitation
